This dry wine evokes a journey. On the nose, delicate wafts of flowers and exotic fruits can be found. It is simply about releasing the airy and floral side of Gewurztraminer without the power and alcohol. The full-bodied palate blossoms with freshness thanks to the presence of Muscat, then finishes with a playful and energetic spice that invigorates the aftertaste. Pepper, cardamom, and wild herbs gracefully coexist.

Terroir

This cuvée is made up of about ten small plots on alluvial and gravelly soils located in the plain around Turckheim.

Sowing one row out of two. Light plowing.

Winemaking

Harvesting is 100% manual.

Our approach remains traditional. Grapes are whole-bunch pressed for approximately 6 hours in our pneumatic presses. Debourbage is natural. Fermentation starts spontaneously with ambient yeasts in our century-old foudres. For this cuvée, we favor fermentation and aging on fine lees.

Before bottling, the wine is filtered. Sulfur can be readjusted, if necessary, at this stage.

Tasting and Pairings

This dry wine evokes a journey. The nose reveals delicate hints of flowers and exotic fruits. It's about releasing the airy and floral side of Gewurztraminer without the power and alcohol. The full-bodied palate blossoms with freshness thanks to the presence of Muscat, then finishes with a spice that playfully and energetically enlivens the aftertaste. Pepper, cardamom, and wild herbs mingle gracefully.

This wine will pair wonderfully with Indian, Asian cuisine, or any other dish featuring spices. Throughout the summer, tomatoes in tarts or as antipasti, as well as smoked and marinated fish, will create delicious eccentric or refined pairings.
